About Darshan

Inspiring You to Reach Your Goals & Dreams

Darshan believes that as human beings, we are wired to be self-driven learners. For over two decades he has been actively engaged in transforming education and businesses through a systematic conscious, life-long, integrated, interdisciplinary learning process.
Darshan has been manifesting his philosophy over the past 25 years by:

1. Developing self-driven leaders as facilitators.
a. For educators of principals in government schools and educators of teachers.
b. For volunteer-led learning communities doing programs for the youth and teachers.

2. Selectively coaching growth-stage entrepreneurs who lead purpose-driven organisations (including fashion, design, IT and premium lifestyle brands).

3. Developing meta-framework of questions that enables a practice of learning in groups.

Initiatives
As the founder of  Creatnet Education  , Creatnet Institute of Applied Management, and the co-founder of Creatnet Services Ltd , Darshan provides direction for organizations working in education, fashion and management. Darshan envisions Creatnet as a space that creates value and growth for individuals and organisations by enabling self driven communities to initiate journeys of self-exploration. He hopes that group learning and discussions will continue to lead to innovative ideas, practices, knowledge, and discoveries that can help society develop systems and processes.

In Application
The art of asking the right questions has been mindfully cultivated by Darshan over the years.  His organization and him have developed a vast array of meta-questions, which have inspired and empowered individuals to elevate their consciousness, enabling them to transform their lives and also their organisational practices. His work using the RAS model (explored further in the ‘practice’ section)  has enabled individuals across various industries to cultivate silence, pause, reflect and operate from a more conscious space within. Rooted in the aspiration of developing ‘learning organizations’ Darshan conceptualises frameworks as tools to conscious leadership.

As a coach for selective purpose-driven organisations, Darshan has helped many leaders refine their priorities and vision. Through questions and frameworks, leaders in the education and business domain are nudged towards perspectives they need to help catalyse their endeavours. His work across industries  has helped develop a wide network of self-driven leaders and facilitators, who in turn help their employees transform into self-driven learners themselves.

Inwards yet onwards
For over a decade, Darshan has been ever-expanding this practice as a vipassana meditation practitioner with a deep inclination towards spirituality. As a disciple of Swami Bhoomananda, his spiritual endeavours are profoundly influenced by Vedanta philosophy and the works of Sri Aurobindo. Darshan’s spiritual influences and inclinations have aided his practice of integrating his inner and outer realities.

Darshan seeks to innovate ideas, practices and systems that enable humanity to CREATE and CONNECT. The idea of CREATNET is represented by Darshan’s work.

Philosophy

Creatnet, as a philosophy and a way of living, is an emergence, which enables an individual to become self-aware and grow to the fullest of their potential.
It is Integrative philosophy - focusing on dimensions of both the Inner- Outer, Work- Learning,  Self, Groups, and Systems.
Connecting and Creating - Create + network - Creatnet

Part + Whole

A holon is something that is simultaneously a whole in and of itself, as well as a part of a larger whole. Do seeds contain trees or do trees contain seeds? We could say both are true, because 'trees and seeds' is an example of a holon.
Does the self contain the system or does the system contain the self?We start with ourselves as we are also manifestations of the system. We engage with the systems as the systems also represent the self. We endeavour to connect and create at all these levels. The idea of holon is the philosophy of a part in whole/whole in part. As a philosophy, this becomes Darshan’s lens of experiencing and facilitating oneness in both business and in education.

Progressive Expansion in Awareness

‍Our philosophy points to a progressive expansion in one's awareness- knowing that once we move forward in awareness, there is no going back.

From Self to Group to System awareness

‍Connection with oneself is a natural precursor to connecting with the larger. Expansion of awareness in leadership within self directly influences and shifts(or has the power to shift) awareness of(and to) groups and systems. Our organizational systems are reflections and manifestations of our thoughts, thus changing the system starts with changing ourselves.

Lifelong and Self-Driven learning

Continuous adaptation to the changes in their environment is essential to the survival of every species. For human beings, adapting and navigating through changes requires a continuous propensity to learn. By constantly assessing our learning needs, we have a unique ability to consciously design our learning path in a responsive way.

We believe that the idea of leadership is directly linked to taking responsibility for one's own learning - Becoming a Self-Driven learner.
Learning consciously moves us from a journey of knowing to embodying, creating a shift in our experience and being. A good leader is always a learner and learning is a lifetime process where each one of us is capable of exemplifying leadership at any stage of life.

IMPACT

Darshan’s work has directly impacted:

0 +
Educational Leaders
0 +
Entrepreneurial Leaders
0 +
Social Entrepreneurs

However, the Creatnet Model enables a remarkable Leadership Phenomenon. Darshan’s work of developing each of the individuals constituting the figures above, witnesses a ripple effect of impact.
For example-Each educational leader influences the 50 teachers in their school, who can then impact 2000+ children in the school.
A similar pattern mirrors with the entrepreneurial leaders as well.

RAS - Practice of Conscious Learning

RAS stands for the practice of reflection, action and silence. We believe that conscious learning takes place through a continuous practice of RAS – reflection,  action and silence.
Reflection strengthens learning by contemplation – Manan – connecting, contrasting, comparing, exploring similarity and dissimilarity. Action strengthens learning by application – Abhyasa – actively engaging with information and practicing continuously. Silence strengthens learning by increasing attention – Dhyana – observing and creating spaces for the mind to rest and assimilate information on its own.
Neuroscience establishes that for learning to happen – the brain needs conditions under which it is able to change in response to stimuli (neuroplasticity) and able to produce new neurons (neurogenesis). Active engagement, attentional practices, feedback loops and rest are found to strengthen both neuroplasticity and neurogenesis.
RAS is a practice which builds one with this ability to consciously strengthen how one learns – by becoming what one learns (Gunna – when what one learns become one’s second nature)

Community- Small group learning

Small group learning is a practice where participants learn in a safe and interactive space. Everyone gets time to reflect & to share, observe, synthesize for oneself and get feedback from others. Participants can listen to each other, experience different perspectives, and learn from a context that is not their own.
Learning science research has shown that small-group learning (when compared to competitive and individualistic learning) improves understanding, relationships with peers and faculty, builds social and leadership skills and promotes psychological well-being (improving self-esteem).

C5Q, or Creatnet 5 Questions

C5Q is a practice that creates space for reflection on one’s commitments or goals as an individual or as a team.
Often we spend a lot of time getting things done by doing it ourselves or involving multiple people, and hardly any time reflecting on what actions of ours are working and not working for us.  C5Q, is an enabler of reflective learning and when practiced continuously provides one with a self feedback loop. This practice provides emergent insights to grow in awareness, learn and progress while increasing accountability for oneself and amongst a group and team members.
